mirahost employs the cloud hosting concept using high-availability clusters (also known as HA Clusters or Failover Clusters).
These Cloud Hosting Clusters are groups of computers in a grid or mesh configuration that are used for the purpose of providing high availability of vital business internet services.
Our grid hosting operates by having redundant computers or nodes which are used to provide service when system components fail. Normally, if a server fails, the services hosted on the server will be unavailable until we are able to fix the server. Even with our industry leading 4 hour hardware replacement guarantee, any downtime due to a server failure is unacceptable.
HA clustering (high-availability clusters) eliminates the potential impact of any downtime by detecting hardware/software faults, and immediately restarting the server on another system without requiring administrative intervention, a process known as Failover.
